Jungfrau, Mönch und Eiger
“Wanderlust” is a compound noun of German origin, and both parts translated literally mean “hiking” and “desire”. And the desire to go hiking in the Berner Oberland in Switzerland – that’s exactly what I feel when I see these famous three peaks.

Thank you. It was done with a small camera (I wasn’t fit enough to carry a big one!) but to be honest, in that area you can’t go wrong.

Yes, the Bernese Oberland region is wonderful!
I didn’t know about the origin of the word “wanderlust”, it made me smile to read it means that – I love hiking 🙂

I visited the area back in 1968. I can’t find the slides I took at the time – more’s the pity – but inspiring me to want to return

Thank you. Yes, it was the 3 layers that attracted me. One where I am, one where I can get to, and unreachable beauty.
