    1. Thank you. I’ve never heard the term “chooks” for chicken before. I’ve checked – it seems to be used only in Australia and New Zealand. Is it the normal word for chicken or only colloquial use?

      1. It is colloquial but is used quite often. I am sorry I should be careful when using a bit of Australian slang. I am just so used to writing the word chook. It applies to hens roosters and chickens generally. 🙂

      2. True. It belongs to South African breweries, anyway … And if you can have German beers, or better still Belgian beers, or Czech beers instead. But it seems to be the magnet for Australians to meet up when they are in foreign parts.
